Thank you for your interest in Greater Waco Christian Home Educators (GWCHE)!  We are a volunteer Christian support group dedicated to helping families who have chosen to educate their children at home.

The calendar year for GWCHE is August 1st to July 31st.  We have 8 general meetings a year (August, September, October, January, February, March, April & May).  General membership meetings are normally held on the third Thursday night of the month at Highland Baptist Church, 3014 Maple Ave., in Waco.  Sign-in time is from 6:30-7:00 p.m.  The sign-in begins at 6:30 p.m. and meetings start at 7:00 p.m.

Non-members are invited to come and observe one meeting before joining GWCHE.  However, we ask that you join GWCHE if you plan to attend additional meetings.  Dues will remain at the low price of $25 which allows you access to all GWCHE functions and includes a subscription to our monthly newsletter, The Big Red Apple

Please note that there will no longer be a reduced fee for joining later in the year.  Various activities and field trips are scheduled throughout the school year.  Other benefits of membership include discount membership to the Home School Legal Defense Association and access to our office/resource library.

We send out applications for membership with our May newsletter so that families can plan ahead to have their application/dues turned in by August for inclusion in our yearly GWCHE resource directory.  Alternatively you may download the application form and send it to us.
